SNO!zone are proud to be supporting snowboarder Zoe Gillings, a top Winter Olympics 2013 snowboarder medal hopeful in her gold challenge.
Zoe, who hopes to emulate the success of British athletes at last month’s Beijing Olympics by taking gold in Vancouver in 2010, has agreed a 2-year deal with the indoor real snow sports company.
In addition to receiving financial backing to take part in competitions across the world, Zoe will be able to train at SNO!zone’s indoor real snow slopes at Milton Keynes, Castleford and Glasgow.
The former world number one was encouraged to retire from the sport after suffering a devastating leg injury in 2004.
But after extensive rehabilitation, Zoe’s determination has seen her return to form and claw back to the position of number seven in the world, making her the UK’s highest ranked snow sport athlete.
With two years still to go, she is hoping to further improve her ranking ahead of the Winter Olympics where she is GB’s greatest hope for a medal.
Zoe, who lives in the Isle of Man, said: “Thanks to SNO!zone many more young people are getting into snow sports which is fantastic for the future of snowboarding and skiing in the UK.
“When I’m not competing, I try to encourage more youngsters to get involved in winter sports at grass roots level so the sponsorship deal from SNO!zone is a perfect fit for me.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the team on raising the profile of snowboarding and training on the indoor snow slopes.”
