Every night, 16 snow cannon’s fire cooled water into the air, chilled to -2°c to make real snowfall, the 1500 tonnes of snow are groomed twice daily to keep the piste perfect!

Q. How cold is it?

The slope is housed in a giant freezer with a ground temperature of -12°c and air temperature of up to -5°c.

Q. How do the different colour runs abroad translate to our slope?

Our slopes are similar to a blue run.

Q. Is there somewhere for us to come and watch?

We have a SNO!bar/cafe with panoramic windows overlooking the slopes, open all day until after the slopes close at 11pm every night

Q. Do I need to pre-book all activities?

Yes, to guarantee your preferred sessions we recommend pre-booking for all our activities as everything is subject to availability and limited capacities.

Q. Can I book tickets online and is it cheaper?

Yes you can book most of our activities on line and you save £1.99 (our telephone booking fee).

Q. Can I book redeem gift vouchers/Tesco vouchers/discount codes online?

Q. How long do gift vouchers last and where can I use them?

Gift vouchers can be bought onsite or via www.snoshopuk.com and are valid at both SNO!zone MIlton Keynes and SNO!zone Castleford for 6 months from purchase date. They can be used at for any slope activity, in the bar or for our range of merchandise.

Q. What kit is included?

All hardware (ski’s, poles, snowboards, ski/board boots, helmets and sledges) are provided FREE. You are welcome to use your own ski/snowboard kit sorry own sledges not allowed.

Q. What is included in clothing hire?

You need to wear warm waterproof clothing including gloves. Wellingtons are recommended for sledging activities. An outfit of jacket and salopettes costs from £5 to hire, Wellie’s from £3. Gloves cannot be hired for hygiene reasons but can be purchased on site.

Q. Where do I change and put my stuff?

There are changing rooms, showers, toilets & lockers (£1 non-refundable)

Q. How long do we need to arrive before our activity starts?

We recommend that you arrive 45 minutes before to make sure that you are checked in, changed and ready to begin your activity on time

Q. What do i do when i arrive?

Go to our main reception desk to collect your slope passes, then get your clothing and get changed. Next collect boots/equipment and once kitted up go to the lesson or sledging meeting points, or main slope pass holders can get on the slopes at their specified time.

Q. Can I take pictures on the slope?

We ask people not to take equipment on the slopes but we have a dedicated SNO!snaps photographer (pre-booked from £4.50 or on site from £5)

Q. Can my friend teach me?

No sorry, for everyone’s safety/insurance we only allow qualified SNO!zone instructors to teach on our slopes.

Q. Can adults and juniors do lessons together?

Yes but only in a family private lesson, our normal group lessons are taught in age bands (3-6yrs, 7-10yrs, 11-15ys and 16+) as this assists learning.

Q. How many people are in a group lesson?

Ages 11+; Ski = 10 people / Snowboard = 7 people
Ages 7 - 10yrs ; Ski = 7 people / Snowboard = 4 people. 
Ages 3 - 6yrs; Ski = 4 people

Q. Can I go on the main slope if I haven’t done it before or I’m out of practice?

You must be able to control speed, confidently link turns and use the poma lift to go on the main slope (otherwise you need lessons, check ‘What level am I’ to find out the best place to start for your current abilities.

Q. What time is quietest to use the main slope?

Usually first thing in the morning or late in the evening and weekdays during term time are the quietest we also offer special discounted sessions at key times.

Q. Do you offer a membership scheme?

No not currently but we offer lots of sessions at special rates, and you can sign up for special offers and events info to get access to new products and promotions
