FAQs

  • Due to current restrictions, we are no longer offering changing room facilities, so you must arrive ready and suitably dressed for your activity.  Your footwear will be exchanged for ski boots / snowboard boots at the equipment hire desks.

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the start time of your session to allow for ticket collection and getting your equipment. It is better to be here early, relax in our restaurant and have a look around before your session starts, we don’t want you to rush to get ready for your experience!

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be purchased online or on site.

  • Our friendly Reception team will need the full name of the person who made the booking. Once you have checked in at our reception desk you will then need to collect any equipment you need for your visit. Someone from the Snozone team will then meet you at the lesson or session meeting point and take you out onto the snow. Those booking a main slope pass are free to join the slope at the start time stated on their ticket.

  • Our group lessons are segmented into adult and juniors so that we can tailor the tuition to the relevant age group. If you would like to learn together as a family then we would recommend one of our family private lessons.

Please note at this time all our lessons are taught as private lessons until further notice.

  • You can speak to one of our team members between the hours of 9am and 8pm. Most of our lessons and sessions are available to book online so we do recommended you try this first.

  • There is a Premier Inn located opposite Xscape Castleford and other hotels nearby.  We can also arrange a booking for you, please do ask!

  • We require 72 hours notice to transfer your booking; all transfers or refunds are subject to a £5 fee.

  • Monday to Friday, term time, is often the quietest time at Snozone, however all activities must be pre-booked as we are no longer admitting walk up custom due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.  You can also check our events page on our website. We do require full payment to secure your booking.

  • Our booking programme is loaded to the system up to three months in advance.

  • Yes you can take photographs or video on the slope however please bear mind other slope users and their privacy, as well as your own safety and that of our guests.  Snozone do not take any responsibility for any damage or accidents caused by guests taking their own photos.

  • Anyone wishing to use the main slope unsupervised must be able to meet our minimum main slope standard which is:To be able to ensure your boots fit correctly, control your speed, link your turns and use a POMA or button lift. If you are unable to do any of the above please book a lesson with one of our qualified coaches.

  • Anyone aged 15 and under will be charged at the junior rate. For lessons, a child is classified as 3-10 years (for SnoAcademy & junior private lessons) older juniors 11-15 years for all development coaching sessions.

  • Every month new members are sent an invite from the Facebook group to the email address on their Snozone member profile. If you have not received it and it is not in your junk mail box after the month that you joined, please contact your designated membership advisor and we can send it again.

  • The postcode for your sat nav is WF10 4TA for Castleford. We are located within the Xscape Centre with plenty of car parking all around.
