What time should we arrive?
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the start time of your session to allow for ticket collection and kitting up. It is better to be here early, relax in our restaurant and have a look around before your session starts, we don't want you to rush to get ready for your experience!
How long are gift vouchers valid for?
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be purchased online or on site.
What happens when I arrive?
Our friendly Reception team will need the full name of the person who made the booking. Once you have checked in at our reception desk you will then need to get changed and collect any equipment you need for your visit.Someone from the Snozone team will then meet you at the lesson or session meeting point and take you out onto the snow. Those booking a main slope pass are free to join the slope at the start time stated on their ticket.
Can adults and juniors learn together?
Our group lessons are segmented into adult and juniors so that we can tailor the tuition to the relevant age group. If you would like to learn together as a family then we would recommend one of our family private lessons.
At what times can I make telephone bookings?
You can speak to one of our team members between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday- Friday and 8am and 6pm Saturday- Sunday. Most of our lessons and sessions are available to book online so we do recommended you try this first.
Is there a hotel nearby?
There is a Premier Inn located opposite Xscape Castleford and there are several hotels within walking distance of Xscape Milton Keynes. We can also arrange a booking for you, please do ask!
Can I transfer my booking?
We require 72 hours notice to transfer your booking; all transfers or refunds are subject to a £5 fee.
Which are the quietest days?
Monday to Friday, term time, is often the quietest time at Snozone, however we do recommend that you pre-book to avoid disappointment and also so that you can check our events page on our website. We do require full payment to secure your booking.
How far in advance can I book my lesson/session?
Our booking programme is loaded to the system up to three months in advance.
Can I take pictures on the slope?
Unfortunately you are unable to take photographs or film on the slope due to privacy laws and the safety of our guests. If you would like to film with your own action camera please come to a session on a Thursday evening from 7pm where you will be able to film yourself on the slope.If you would like some photographs taken whilst on your lesson or session please ask one of our reception team and we will check for availability of a team member.
Can I use the slope if I have never had lessons?
Anyone wishing to use the main slope unsupervised must be able to meet our minimum main slope standard which is:To be able to ensure your boots fit correctly, control your speed, link your turns and use a POMA or button lift. If you are unable to do any of the above please book a lesson with one of our qualified coaches.
What age is a junior?
Anyone aged 15 and under will be charged at the junior rate. For lessons, a child is classified as 3-10 years (for SnoAcademy & junior private lessons) older juniors 11-15 years for all development coaching sessions.
What do I need to bring with me to join as a member?
To join as a Snozone member you will need to provide a photographic ID and proof of address, for example either a driving license, passport, utility bill or bank statement.
How do I join the Snozone VIP members group?
Every month new members are sent an invite from the facebook group to the email address on their Snozone member profile. If you have not received it and it is not in your junk mail box after the month that you joined, please contact your designated membership advisor and we can send it again.
How do I find you?
The postcode for your sat nav is WF10 4TA for Castleford and MK9 3XS for Milton Keynes. We are located within the Xscape Centre at both locations, with plenty of car parking all around. Parking is free at Castleford but sadly there is a tariff at Milton Keynes, however members receive a free parking pass on every visit.
What do we need to wear? Is the equipment included?
It is real snow so we recommend you wrap up warm in waterproof clothing - gloves are a must! Don't worry if you don't have the appropriate clothing you can hire a snow suit by pre-booking @ £7.99pp or hiring on the day @ £10.99pp. Gloves can be purchased from £19.95 and socks from £12.99. All of your ski or snowboard equipment (boots, helmet, skis, board and poles) are included in the ticket price. There is no difference in price if you bring your own equipment. If you are sledging, footwear with a good grip that will keep your feet warm and dry such as wellington boots or snow boots are ideal.

Please note that during the Christmas holidays (21st Dec –5th Jan) and February Half Term Holiday the slope will be open from 7.30am every day. This excludes Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day when the slope will be open 10.00am-7.00pm (except on Christmas Day when we are closed).Our reception desks will be open 45 minutes before our slope opening times!
